Fluid involved in 2012 Olympics.

20/07/2011

Fluid have secured a contract with Volleyball England to design and launch their new website! The Olympics is a great opportunity for Volleyball England in terms of recruiting members, so the website is crucial for them over the next 12-18 months. We are delighted they chose us to represent them with their digital presence.

The pitch was an intense and lengthy process which ran for several months, Volleyball England were impressed with our web design pedigree within the sporting arena and this was a key factor in us winning the pitch. The proposed site will be fully client controlled by a bespoke CMS and feature a powerful members area with registration system and online transactions!

So with the 2012 Olympics Games now just one year away, the count down has begun. The games which will run from 27th July to 12th August 2012, are expected to welcome millions of people from around the world into the UK, along with an estimated global audience of around 4 billion people expected to watch the opening ceremony.

There are 26 different Olympic sports with 38 disciplines involved from Athletics and swimming to football and cycling. In terms of ticket demand and television audiences, beach volleyball has rapidly become the second most popular Olympic sport.

Volleyball England is the recognised National Governing Body for Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Sitting Volleyball in England. Volleyball England is responsible for the development, promotion and delivery of Volleyball across England.

Fluid are delighted to be working with Volleyball England and have already designed and developed Go Spike, a website which allows people to sign up to play volleyball all over the UK - take a look here!

Be sure to keep an eye on our portfolio for updates on work completed.
